I got a new phone and have been trying to figure out how to do various bits and peices. While doing this I logged in to Facebook then gTalk and it downloaded all my contacts so whenever I tried to do anything in “People” it would show all the Google and Facebook friends. It took me a while to realise how to remove them but here it is:

Delete the unwanted contacts

  1. Go into People
  2. Press the three horizontal bars at  below the screen
  3. Press View
  4. Tick “Google” and untick the others
  5. Click Done.
  6. Now go back and you’ll see all the Google contacts but none of your phone contacts
  7. Click Delete
  8. Get rid of the keyboard and press the three bars again then Select All and finally delete.

Now they’re all gone 🙂
